Hon Francis Asenso-Boakye, Minister of Works and Housing and Member of Parliament of Bantama Wednesday 31st March commended Management of State Housing Company for relying on its internally generated fund(IGF) to execute most of its housing projects.
“This is highly recommendable and other institutions must emulate you. It is not easy to use IGF for such projects unless you have prudent management”, Hon Asenso-Boakye made the observation when he paid a working visit to SHC to familiarize himself with their operations and also to share his vision.
Welcoming the Minister and his entourage, Mr. Kwabena Ampofo Appiah MD of State Housing Company said “we have a mandate to provide affordable housing to Ghanaians and we won’t renege on our responsibility”.
He recalled how Management has since 2017, been working around the clock to turn around the fortunes of the then ailing SHC.
The Minister commended both Management and Staff of SHC for reviving the company.
After meeting the Staff, the Minister proceeded to commission the newly constructed Club Court at North Kaneshie.
He symbolically handed over keys of the apartments to some of the clients signifying that the building was ready for occupancy.
The Minister proceeded to Adenta to inspect ongoing projects such as the Legacy Court.
