Accra, Ghana – May 6, 2025
The State Housing Company Limited (SHCL) today hosted a monitoring team from the Parliamentary Select Committee on Works and Housing during a working visit to three of its major project sites in the Greater Accra Region — Pokuase, Amrahia, and Adenta.
The team, led by Hon. Vincent Oppong Asamoah, Member of Parliament for Dormaa West and Chairman of the Committee, commended SHCL for what he described as “impressive progress across the sites.

“We are encouraged by what we’ve seen. The committee is committed to supporting these efforts and ensuring timely completion,” Hon. Asamoah stated during the visit.
The visit forms part of the committee’s oversight responsibility to monitor the implementation of government-backed housing projects and ensure they meet national development goals.

SHCL Managing Director, Mr. John S. Bawah, expressed appreciation to the committee for the visit and noted the significance of parliamentary support in advancing the company’s mandate.
SHCL remains a key player in addressing Ghana’s housing deficit, with projects across the country focused on creating sustainable, livable communities for the average Ghanaian.
