State Housing Company Hands Over Houses To Ghana Immigration Service in Kumasi

Management of State Housing Company successfully completed and handed over housing units to the Ghana Immigration Service in an to deal with the accommodation challenges of the service in Ashanti Region.

“We are honored to announce the successful completion and handover of residential accommodation to the Ghana Immigration Service in Kumasi. The housing project, named after former President John Agyekum Kufour, was made possible through Otumfour Osei Tutu II and the Oyokohene Nana Agyekum Kusi Ababio providing land in 2018” Mr Kwabena Ampofo Appiah, Managing Director of SHC told a section of the media during the handing over last Friday.

The estate project inaugurated by President Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo in 2018, aims to develop a residential estate comprising more than 100 housing units, including 2-bedroom, 3-bedroom, and 4-bedroom houses.

“We are proud to hand over twenty-six units to the Ghana Immigration Service. We are grateful to have the Minister of Works and Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, and the Comptroller of the Ghana Immigration Service, Lawyer Takyi, as our distinguished guests of honor for this momentous occasion”, he said.

Minister of Works and Housing, Hon Kojo Oppong Nkrumah who was the Guest of Honour, commended the collaboration between SHC and GIS and called for more collaboration among state institutions.

He assured SHC of the support of his Ministry and that of the government while commending traditional authorises for giving parcels of land for such projects.
