WORKS & HOUSING MINISTER INSPECTS SHC TAMALE PROJECT

Minister of Works and Housing and Member of Parliament for Bantama Constituency, Hon Francis Asenso-Boakye has urged Management of State Housing Company to do more to bridge the housing gap in the country.

” State Housing Company Limited is currently undertaking projects across the country but we need more affordable houses for the average Ghanaian”, the Minister said in a media interaction when he visited SHC project sites currently ongoing in Tamale.

The Works and Housing Minister inspected the project site where SHC is putting up houses for the Ghana Immigration Service in Tamale as well as the Kufuor Affordable Housing project site.

Recounting the history of the Kufuor Affordable Housing project in Tamale, he said it was one of the five projects commenced by Former President John Agyekum Kufuor but “was abandoned by the NDC government”.

The Tamale Estate consists of 2,3 bedroom apartments and it’s progressing steadily.

The Business Development Manager of SHC, Isaac Frimpong Mensah also speaking to the media, assured the public that the project would be completed ahead of schedule.

” Currently State Housing Company is undertaking projects across the country and our track record is that we complete them ahead of schedule without compromising on quality and standards”.
